Bio

A graduate of Brookes University, Oxford, with a BA
in History & Politics, Keir Knight began his career as a journalist
working for the UK national newspapers The Sunday Mirror and The Sunday
Express. After moving to the US in 1994 he continued to freelance for a
variety of UK publications including The Times and The News of the World
before establishing Plain English Writing & Design.

Keir is the founding editor of the
The Mount
Airy Phone Book. He is a member of the Board of Trustees for the
Carroll County Public Library;
a member of the Woodbine - Mt Airy Rec Council; and volunteers for the
Mount Airy
Main Street Association. He served as chair of the Greater Mt Airy
Chamber of Commerce Advertising & Marketing Committee from 2002 to 2007,
a period in which membership grew from 35 to 369.
