Bio

A graduate of Brookes University, Oxford, with a BA
in History & Politics, Keir Knight began his career as a journalist
working for the UK national newspapers The Sunday Mirror and The Sunday
Express. After moving to the US in 1994 he continued to freelance for a
variety of UK publications including The Times and The News of the World
before establishing Plain English Writing & Design.

He serves on the Board of Trustees for the
Carroll County Public Library;
is a member of the Woodbine - Mt Airy Rec Council;
is a member of
Leadership Carroll, Class of 2010; and volunteers for the
Mount Airy
Main Street Association.

He served as chair of the Greater Mt Airy Chamber
of Commerce Advertising & Marketing Committee from 2002 to 2007 - a
period in which membership grew from 35 to 369 - and was the founding editor of the The Mount
Airy Phone Book.
